It is in Region 1, First District, with 119,322 population occupying a 10, 272 land area. Its 172.9 miles away from Manila, and you can reach the city in 4 hours and 55 minutes drive via NLEX / TPLEX.
Let Me Walk You Through
I personally imagine the city as a delicious sandwich stuffed with fresh vegetables. Why? Because it is settled in between mountains and seas. Going north, to your left are small mountains, and to your right is the West Philippine Sea (or otherwise known as South China Sea).
If you are a nature lover, you would definitely love the place. Allow me to share with you some of my photos during morning and sunset walks at the Surf Capital of the North. And… of course my one hour trek to the famous Tangadan Falls.

An Hour Trek to Tangadan Falls
Start off. God knows exactly where to place the rock and grow the tree.
Finally, Tangadan Falls
Where to Stay
I will recommend Thunderbird Resort at Poro-Point. You have a choice between Mediterranean and MediterrAsian Cuisine. And if you are a coffee lover, well they have it too. And the view at the coffee shop… its majestic! Oh! Do you love sea foods? Go and indulge, and please try their fish fillet, simply the best.

I am not a native here, but believe it or not, the first time I set my feet in this place, “Na in-love ako!” A compact city with a little touch of modernization, warm people, fresh sea foods and vegetables. I can’t thank God enough for bringing my family here.
